The two-episode premiere of Yaga started will a real bang, and we're not just talking about the flaming chicken that was nailed to Rapp's hotel room door. Henry Park's disappearance has presented more questions than answers so far, but with Rapp receiving texts from Henry after that other fiery message, it's clear that there's a potentially wicked game going on in Whittock.

Yaga episode 2 returns to Rapp's hotel room with narration from Baba Yaga as Rapp wakes up in the middle of the night from a nightmare of bugs crawling out of his mouth. In the morning, he goes for a run on the beach. Angel's scrubbing the burned door when Carson arrives to pick up Rapp. He quickly showers before they head out, and he scratches at a bite on his arm.

Rapp fills Carson in on getting a text message from Henry. He believes that someone else is texting him from Henry's phone, meaning someone doesn't want Rapp to keep looking. Carson isn't so sure, but the police put a trace on Henry's phone. She pushes Rapp to keep her in the loop about everything, including the chicken on fire. They have breakfast at Sandeson's to speak to Geena (Megan Follows).

Carson orders eggs and Rapp orders a garden salad, claiming to be vegan. Geena's fiercely protective of her daughter Lily, having previously stabbed a man who grabbed her in the eye. Rapp notices the brace on Geena's wrist before getting into questions about Henry. She's catering the Dark Solstice party at Henry's house, which Logan never told them about.

Carson and Rapp question Katherine about Henry

Geena confirms that Henry and Logan were in the diner with Pam on the 21st and explains that Pam punched Henry, knocking a tooth out. Henry and Logan remained at the diner for hours, drinking coffee and acting "woozy." Logan left first, and Geena had to chase Henry down when he finally left to give him his forgotten phone. She says he got into a black car. When Carson receives her eggs, there's a blood spot in one of the yolks.

Carson gets confirmation that Henry took the ferry to the mainland a few days before he went missing, but he took out the $15k on the same day. Rapp wonders if Henry used the money to buy someone a gift. The pair head to the college to speak with the Boner Beast, which happens to be Katherine. When they take seats in the back of the classroom, Katherine calls them out.

The entire class looks back at them, but Katherine continues her lecture on spiders killing ants, which she relates to human killings. After the lecture, Carson and Rapp talk to Katherine in her office. Rapp brings coffee, and he got Katherine's order wrong. She turns down either remaining cup. Carson hangs back as Rapp begins asking Katherine questions. Finally, Carson steps in to redirect the conversation to Henry. Katherine clears up her nickname as Bone Beast.

Katherine resents that she actually had an intimate relationship with Henry after appearing on his podcast. She has a reputation of sleeping with students, but that doesn't make it true. They make no inroads on new information from Katherine. When they leave, Carson calls Rapp out for being unprofessional and asks about why he intentionally gets coffee orders wrong. He uses it as a litmus test to see what kind of person he's dealing with.

Henry's latest party leads to an unexpected death

Carson gets the coordinates of where Henry's phone pinged from when Rapp got the text messages, and they recognize the location as near his house. Since there's a party happening at Henry's that night, they have to attend the party in order to investigate. Carson parks outside the house and they change their clothing in order to not stand out among the partygoers.

Before entering the party, they grab masks to further fit into the crowd. They split up to look for Henry, but we catch up with someone who could either be Henry or Logan having sex in Henry's room. Rapp runs into Angel, who dips a lollipop into a mysterious powder and places it in Rapp's mouth. Carson calls him out on taking the substance, which has him tripping out almost immediately.

Carson and Rapp head upstairs and hear noises, including Henry's name, coming from Henry's bedroom. They burst into the room and interrupt the intimate moment. The person who Rapp believes to be Henry quickly rushes out of the room. In his hallucinatory state, Rapp sees him as running down the stairs, and he runs to follow him.

But Carson finds Logan down the hall. He pushes her against the wall, causing her nose to bleed, and runs into his room. She follows him into his room, but he's nowhere to be found. Downstairs, Rapp feels the effects of whichever drug he took and goes outside. He sees what appears to be snow and holds a feather before seeing Katherine standing before him wearing a white dress.

She takes an eyelash from his face and tells him to make a wish. He comes out of what's very likely a vivid hallucination when Carson calls his name. He sees a flaming bird in the sky over the water. Carson informs him that they didn't actually find Henry, it was Logan. A nearby scream reveals a face-down dead body in the water. Oddly enough, it's Logan, who's dead. Well, that's a twist!
