True Detective Season 2: Is Final Cast Complete?

The second season of the hit HBO series True Detective is right around the corner, but the question is has the final cast been settled on?

With the second season of True Detective supposedly around the corner, fans are growing frustrated with the empty promises and false starts that they’ve seen over the past three months. According to HBO back in August, production was pegged for a September start, yet here we are in November with nothing to show for.

Of course, pre-production seems to be well underway though as the cast of the new season has more than likely been settled on. This past week brought word that the supporting roles on the show have been filled which adds to the four lead roles that were cast earlier. Rachel McAdams is the only unconfirmed lead on the show with Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Taylor Kitsch all confirming their involvement.

This still promises us nothing though, as production start dates have been rumored in the past but never fulfilled. Having the supporting cast in place though suggests that the final cast has been selected and filming can begin. That’s the hope anyways as while patience is a virtue, fans only have so much of it to pass around.
