Get a Quick Look at Matthew McConaughey’s “Sing” (Video)
Matthew McConaughey’s other animated film, Sing, has posted a series of teasers.
Matthew McConaughey has an almost alarming number of coming up this year, including his first foray into animation. McConaughey will star in not one, but two animated films this year — and they couldn’t be any more different. While we’ve already seen a trailer for one, Sing now has a series of teasers to introduce the characters.
It’s best to get this out-of-the-way quickly; Sing is nothing at all like Kubo and the Two Strings. Kubo is more of an arthouse film, using unique digital animation. Sing, on the other hand, is a film aimed more at children and looks like every other popular animated movie out there. Not to knock it before seeing it, but it’s impossible to deny. You can get your first look at Sing below, which is a preview clip compiled of several shorter teasers:

Spoiler alert: there will be singing in this movie. The clip shows various spirited animals taking on well-known pop songs. You may have also noticed that Matthew McConaughey doesn’t actually appear in the video. His character, the koala Buster Moon, is likely being kept under wraps until the full trailer debuts next week.
Fans of Dreamworks films will probably enjoy this one, especially if it can keep up the amount of energy as seen in the clip. For those that aren’t interested in loud, singing animals, there is always Kubo and the Two Strings.
Next: True Detective producer Steve Golin is getting around.
That’s right, folks, you will be able to choose from two different animated Matthew McConaughey roles. What a time to be alive.
