I guess he really is Negan, huh? Eugene drank Negan’s Koolaid and thanked him for it afterward. I have to admit, I was honestly expecting the cowardly lion to be a little bit braver than this after he bit Dwight in the junk in season 6.

The real question is this: Is there a path to redemption for Eugene in season 8? And if so, will Rick and the gang ever forgive him? Rosita is sure as heck not going to forget his act of cowardice, especially since she looked him in the eyes and offered him a chance at escape and he turned her down.

In season 8, if Eugene turns that beautiful mind of his to willfully making ammunition for Negan and the Saviors, instead of Rick and good guys, then we may very well be seeing the swan song of our favorite mullet. However, if he does, in fact, turn face, and goes the way of his comic book arc, then Eugene could be redeemed.
