The Mother of Dragons not only donated thousands to the Anima Foundation, she’s also an ambassador.

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has many names: Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, Khaleesi, Queen of the Andals, and the Breaker of Chains. And now you can add philanthropist to the long list of titles.

The British actress donated nearly $43,000 of her own money to the Anima Foundation. The charity, which will launch later this year, will raise money for specialist brain injury care. The foundation will also educate the people about these injuries and how to prevent such injuries.

According to Daily Mail, Emilia Clarke will also serve as an ambassador for the Royal College of Nursing. She also created a companion charity for the United States.

This cause is something that Clarke holds close to her heart. Back in 2013, she suffered an aneurysm while playing Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s on Broadway. But she has never confirmed reports of this health scare.

Along with Emilia Clarke, other trustees for the charity include her mother, Jennifer; Henry Marsh, author of Do No Harm; and Hereward Harrison, the former policy director of Childline. Daily Mail reports that the trustees will continue to meet with neuroscientists, politicians, and philanthropists to gain more support.

All funds raised will support specialist nurses who deliver aftercare patients who suffer traumatic brain injuries.

Emilia Clarke earns over $500,000 per episode of Game of Thrones. So, it’s great to see that she is donating some of her hard-earned money to a cause that means so much to her. She may be a Khaleesi on the most popular show in the world, but she’s also a Khaleesi in real life, too.
