Are Game of Thrones producers shooting multiple endings?

We can speculate how Game of Thrones will end until we’re blue in the face, and we still won’t know.

But it makes me feel better that Game of Thrones’ biggest stars aren’t sure either.

Even though the Mother of Dragons, Emilia Clarke, read what she thought was the final scripts for season eight, she’s not exactly sure how it will end.

Clarke made an appearance on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, where she revealed she suspects there’s a bunch of stuff going on that the producers aren’t telling the cast. In fact, she doubled down, saying she doesn’t know who will win the Iron Throne in the end.

After reading the scripts in 2017, her reaction was passionate.

“Holy moly, it took me a couple of hours to come down from that. That was like the most intense reading experience of my life.”

But somewhere between her reading the scripts and shooting, she developed the feeling that the producers were hiding something – maybe an entire plot change?

When you’re shooting the last season of the most popular show of all time a year before it actual airs, you have to be creative to keep it under wraps. Plus, the stars get inundated with questions about plot points, thoughts, and feelings about the show. I think it’s very possible that David Benioff and D.B. Weiss changed the ending from the scripts, or shot different endings.

Whatever the case may be, we all know it’s going to be one hell of a season. Judging from the actors’ reaction to what they’ve read so far, fans will not be disappointed.
