The Season 3 pictures from The Crown also show Ben Daniels as Anthony Armstrong-Jones, Princess Margaret’s husband on the show.

Fans of Netflix’s The Crown is getting their first look at Helena Bonham Carter’s Princess Margaret and Ben Daniels’ Anthony Armstrong-Jones.

Netflix released photos of the two new cast members, who will take over the roles in Season 3 of The Crown when it hits the streaming service next year. Carter appears to be dragging on a cigarette and Daniels takes a photograph.

Bonham Carter will replace Vanessa Kirby in the series, while Daniels replaces Matthew Goode. Both Kirby and Goode received Emmy nominations for their roles.

More from Netflix

Season 3 of The Crown will jump to 1963. It will cover much of the ‘60s, including the rise of the Beatles and England winning the soccer World Cup. Showrunners felt it was time to cast new actors for upcoming seasons instead of aging current cast members.

Olivia Colman will play Queen Elizabeth II, while Tobias Menzies will play Prince Phillip. Rounding out the cast is Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles.

There are also reports that Camilla Parker Bowles’s character will also join the next season. But they haven’t released any official casting news. Although, I read that Oscar winner Brie Larson is at the top of their wish list, followed by Laura Carmichel or Joanna Froggatt, both of Downton Abbey fame.

Last Thursday, The Crown Season 2 received 13 Primetime Emmy nominations including nods for Best Drama, Claire Foy for playing Queen Elizabeth II, and Matt Smith for playing Prince Phillip.

I love this show and seeing pictures from the set get me excited for what’s to come. Season 4 is sure to cover the Charles and Diana saga, which is precisely why I began watching in the first place!
