Deadly Class debuts new trailer at Comic Con
The Comic Con trailer for SyFy’s new series, Deadly Class, is to die for.
Deadly Class debuted an explosive new trailer at their San Diego Comic Con panel. Naturally, attendees were treated to a special video appearance by executive producers, Joe and Anthony Russo, as well as a fifteen-minute first look at the new series. Already, this is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated new shows of 2019. The trailer perfectly captures the tone of Rick Remender’s and Wes Craig’s graphic novel.

The trailer immediately introduces the main protagonist of Deadly Class, Marcus Lopez, who seems desperate for an escape from his life. He gets that chance when he’s recruited by Benedict Wong’s Master Lin, the headmaster of King’s Dominion Atelier of the Deadly Arts. However, this isn’t just any school, it’s a place training young people to become ruthless assassins for the top crime families.
Unfortunately, Marcus’ storyline throughout the comics is littered with tragedy. Attending King’s Dominion is the only “choice” he gets to make because everything else has been controlled through random coincidences. However, that doesn’t mean his time at the school is going to be an easy ride. While he’s prone to violence based on his frustration and trauma, it looks like a lot of the other kids will be too.
The cast for Deadly Class is comprised of a bunch of promising newcomers as well as Benedict Wong. Benjamin Wadsworth plays Marcus, and he’s joined by Lana Condor, María Gabriela De Faría, and Luke Tennie. The punk sporting a green mohawk is the standout actor, Liam James, who has quietly made a name for himself in indie flicks like The Way Way Back.
