New Mayans MC trailer goes all in

The new trailer for Mayans MC comes with the premise that once you are in, there is no getting out.

Which is arguably the core philosophy for any form of gang or organized crime, not just on Mayans MC. There is a reason that they usually call it a “family” and loyalty to the cause and your group is the most important trait for a potential member. Because whatever happens from that moment forward, your entire existence changes and you are not the same person you were before.

That is the basic theme that runs throughout almost all gangster movies, TV shows, and books; once in, you are in until the end. Period. When you think about it, that’s the exact same principle of a marriage vow, especially the whole concept about ’til death do you part. Because the only guaranteed way out of that life is through death. The only question is how said death comes; be it natural, death in the line of work, or murdering someone attempting to leave or betray the group.

Which is exactly what happened to Jax Teller, as the entire story of Sons of Anarchy was based on the premise that no matter what happened, he was part of that lifestyle. By the bitter end, the only possible way he could have ended the sordid tale that was his life was to die in some fashion. He simply decided to speed it up.

There is quite a bit of truth to the sentiment once you are deeply involved in something, you are always part of that life. Come Labor Day, we’ll find out if life in The Mayans is the same as with the Teller family.
