Stranger Things season 3 finally gets a premiere date!

Fans of the Netflix super hit Stranger Things have been waiting over a year for more episodes and until now there has been seemingly no end to that wait in sight.  As 2019 rolled in yesterday, Netflix premiered a new teaser trailer for the upcoming third season and fans were finally informed the new season would premiere on July 4th.

The trailer itself starts with some programming from Hawkins local TV station.  They’re airing the broadcasting of Dick Clark counting down the ball drop into 1985 at Times Square.

As the ball makes its way down, however, the TV is cut in and out with what appears to be an old-timey computer virus until the New Years fireworks can be seen going off on the TV monitor upside down (how fitting) and the audience is left with what can be assumed to be the tagline for the season “One summer can change everything.”

While nothing especially specific about season 3 has been revealed so far, there have nonetheless been small details revealed over the last few months.
