I know for myself, I watched it at least five times. I just can’t get enough. I even gave a breakdown of the trailer.
Think about it. Game of Thrones’ fans have been waiting for a mere morsel of information for two years. We’ve seen a leaked photo here and there, a few snippets in teaser montages for all HBO shows, and we finally saw some cast photos last week.
But this trailer is our first glimpse into what season 8 will actually look like. It’s giving us an unprecedented look into the final season of this epic series.
The trailer may not be the only record-breaker associated with season 8. Chances are, the premiere will break records, too.
Season 7’s premiere from July 16, 2017, has the all-time record of viewers with 10.11 million. And if season 8 continues its trends, season 8 will shatter that record, too.
Season 1 only had an average of 2.52 million viewers. Each season grew steadily and skyrocketed to an average of 10.26 million viewers.
Will you be watching? Game of Thrones’ final season begins April 14.
