All The Light We Cannot See will be coming to Netflix!

According to Deadline, Netflix and Shawn Levy’s 21 Steps (known for Stranger Things series one and two and Arrival) will soon be bringing another short series to Netflix, based on the book All The Light We Cannot See. In its early stages, the show is expected to pull on the emotional heartstrings of all the viewers.

The short series All The Light We Cannot See will tell the story of Marie-Laure, a blind French teenager, and Werner, a German soldier, whose paths collide in occupied France as they try to deal with the devastation of World War II in 1941 as it is happening. 21 Laps brought the story to Netflix, and Dan Levine, Shawn Levy, and Josh Barry will serve as executive producers to the series based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book. So far there are no casting announcements made, nor has a writer been announced to the project yet.

Even though the story and television show is in its early stages, it has already started to have buzz around Hollywood. The book quickly has become a phenomenon when published in 2014. It received the aforementioned Pulitzer Prize, an Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction, and spent 130 weeks on the New York Times bestsellers list. To say that this story has captured the hearts and minds of the public is a dramatic understatement.

21 Laps is no stranger to Netflix and has been the part of the production of Stranger Things 3, coming back this summer. Stranger Things has become a Netflix phenomenon and can only give us a look at how amazing we can expect All The Light We Cannot See to be.

We can also expect his new shows and movies including coming of age series I Am Not Okay With This and feature part of Mothers Lock Up Your Daughters Because They Are Terrifying to have the same hype as his other shows on Netflix.
