Light as a Feather: Hulu gives season 2 a release date!
By Wade Wainio
Hulu’s Light as a Feather supernatural thriller has a premiere date for season 2. What will happen in the supernatural thriller’s second season?
According to Deadline, Light as a Feather‘s second season will begin on July 26, 2019. Brought to you by Hulu, AwesomenessTV, Wattpad, and Kelsey Grammer’s Grammnet, Light as a Feather is based on the successful story by Zoe Aarsen, although her title is Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board. The Hulu series explores teen angst paired with a deadly, supernatural curse. After playing a seemingly innocent game of “Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board,” a group of young adults is dying off in ways predicted by the game leader, Violet (Haley Ramm).
As the first season progressed, we saw that Violet was oddly linked to the game, and was apparently faced with bodily decay for not getting others to play. Some curse, huh? While most teenagers have it tough enough, imagine having a weird, aching cocoon thing in your back that starts acting up if one of your buddies doesn’t die! That’s both gross and mystifying.
What is known about season 2
Not much is yet known about season 2, and that’s likely intentional. It’s apparent that Haley Ramm will return for the season, along with Liana Liberato and Brianne Tju. Creator and showrunner R. Lee Fleming Jr. will be returning as well. It’s not yet known who will join the cast, but we do know that Liberato’s character McKenna must now bear the curse. Will she bear it more ethically than Violet had, or will she eventually resort to selfishness? Also, it’s likely that McKenna will need to learn more about the game, and the ever-expanding roster of those left in its wake.
To help in that pursuit, the new season will have 16 episodes, which is considerably more than the original 10! While the series lacks a high Rotten Tomatoes score, it’s IMDb rating is at a solid 6.5/10. In any case, the ratings that count are views, and this series is getting those.
