Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Daniel Radcliffe joins interactive special
When the cast of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt reunites for their interactive special in 2020, they’ll be joined by a magical addition: Daniel Radcliffe.
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special will see the series return to Netflix for one final adventure. Radcliffe will be joining the core cast of Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and Carol Kane in an undisclosed role reports Deadline.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ended after four seasons in January. The interactive special will put Kimmy’s (Kemper) fate in the hands of viewers as Kimmy travels across three states, dodges explosions, and encounters… a dancing hamburger? Viewers will decide whether to help Kimmy prevent the evil Reverend (Jon Hamm) from getting in the way of her reaching her wedding or whether they inadvertently start a robot war. Clearly, the stakes of the special will be bigger than anything fans have encountered on the series before.
Series creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock will return for the special.

The series finale of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt wrapped up the stories of Kimmy, her roommate Titus Andromedon (Burgess), her friend Jacqueline White (Krakowski), and her landlord Lillian Kaushtupper (Kane). Each character got a fitting happy ending in what was a satisfying series capper.
This interactive special will likely catch up to the characters after the finale. And based on the description, it will have all the zany comedy we’ve come to expect from the series. In addition, the interactive element should give viewers a chance to squeeze several different potential plotlines from the special.

Netflix’s interactive Black Mirror episode “Bandersnatch” drew a great deal of attention. The streamer no doubt hopes the interactive Kimmy Schmidt special will do the same. Hopefully, it will also tell a satisfying story.
