Emmy-nominated actress Constance Zimmer has signed on to have a recurring role on the Showtime series Shameless.

Emmy-nominated actress Constance Zimmer has signed on for a mini-arch opposite Emmy Kenny in Season 10 of Shameless.

The Showtime series has become one of the network’s leading shows, and the 10th Season promises to have even more fireworks. According to Deadline, the season picks up six months after the events of last season’s finale, in which Frank (William H. Macy) uses his leg injury as the gateway to as many over-the-counter drugs as he can get.

According to Deadline, Zimmer will play the role of Claudia, a sophisticated and wealthy woman who Debbie (Kenny) meets at a hotel bar. Zimmer will portray Claudia for multiple episodes, and it could lead to a regular role in the series should it go to the 11th season.

In a lot of ways, Zimmer is the perfect actress to play the role of Claudia. She got an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for UnReal, the Lifetime series where she played a near-ruthless executive producer. Her other credits include The Newsroom, Entourage, and House of Cards.

Shameless will not be the only series that we’ll see Zimmer in this year. She also has a recurring role on the Condor, the Audience series that is the film adaptation of Three Days of the Condor. Season two of that series is set to begin this fall, and we’ll also see Zimmer on the big screen this spring when she voices Veronica Cale in Wonder Woman Bloodlines.
