The tenth season of Showtime’s Shameless will have cameos from Rachel Dratch and Anthony Alabi.

Fiona Gallagher (Emmy Rossum) is no longer going to be prowling the streets of South Side Chicago. She will not be paying the bills and playing an accountant with the squirrel fund. Showtime’s Shameless will need some strong, bold characters to help carry the load of the tenth season. Frank can only do so much.

Frank will have help carrying the comedic burden. According to a report from Deadline, former Saturday Night Live star Rachel Dratch will join the show as a recurring character. In classic Frank fashion, Dratch’s character, Paula the Probation Officer, will lord over and scheme against parolees to commit insurance fraud.

Anthony Alabi of Family Reunion fame is also joining the tenth season of Shameless. Alabi will play the straight-laced foil to Frank’s terrible parenting. Alabi’s character, Mavar, will help guide Liam (Christian Isaiah) through the complex world of entering puberty and being raised by crazy white people.

Mavar still has some competitive hustle to his game. He is a used car salesman perhaps still wanting to relive his college athletic glory. If Liam is any good at basketball, the chances for an AAU hoops scandal is tremendously high.

This tenth season of Shameless will cut into the Gallagher’s lives six months after Frank’s leg was broken. Frank is still after opiate refills from the pharmacy. Debbie is still using the $50,000 from Fiona to help care for the family. “Care for” being a loose term. Debbie is a hard landlord to keep content.

Lip (Jeremy Allen White) and Tami (Kate Miner) still have a baby on the way. Carl is graduating out of military school but does not seem to want the settled life of fast-food management.

Kevin and Veronica want to help Liam, but face their own challenges with their family dynamic.

Ian (Monaghan) and Mickey (Noel Fisher) are back together, representing the most toxic and chaotic relationship fans of the show continue to cheer for, especially since Jimmy cannot come back to find Fiona, who is obviously gone.

Shameless is back to airing Gallagher antics on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 9 PM ET/PT on Showtime.
