Darren Star’s Paramount Network series Emily in Paris casts eight, announces costume designers, directors
Emily in Paris, Darren Star’s (Younger, Sex and the City) upcoming dramedy on Paramount Network has rounded out its cast with five series regulars and three recurring roles as well as setting its costume designers and directors.
Emily in Paris has cast French actors Philippine Leroy Beaulieu (Call My Agent!), Lucas Bravo (Smart Ass), Samuel Arnold (Antony & Cleopatra), Camille Razat (The 15:17 to Paris), and Bruno Gouery (Doc Martin) as series regulars. They will star opposite series lead Lily Collins (The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones).
In addition, Kate Walsh (Grey’s Anatomy), William Abadie (Resident Evil: Extinction), and Arnaud Viard (Paris Can Wait) will recur on the series. Ashley Park (Tales of the City) was previously announced as a series regular.
Star created, executive produces, and writes the 10-episode series, which tells the story of driven Midwestern twenty-something Emily who moves to Paris for an unexpected job opportunity. Emily is tasked with bringing an American perspective to the venerable French marketing firm where she now works. She experiences a culture clash as she adjusts to life in Paris, while also navigating her career, new friendships, and love life.
Walsh will play Emily’s Chicago-based coworker and mentor on the half-hour dramedy.
Star will once again team with fashion designer Patricia Field (Younger, Sex and the City) for the new series. They will be joined by costume designer Marylin Fitoussi. In addition, Andrew Fleming, Zoe Cassavetes, and Peter Lauer will direct the series.
The show is already filming on location in Paris, France. Take a look below for photos of the cast.

Emily in Paris sounds a bit different from many of Paramount Network’s current and upcoming series, including its flagship show Yellowstone, the hit Western starring Kevin Costner. The Network also has a variety of other series in the works including an adaptation of the film Sexy Beast and 68 Whiskey from Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment.
If Star’s other shows like Sex and the City and Younger are any indication, we should expect the series to be a fun and fizzy look at Emily’s life. While it may be less gritty than some of Paramount Network’s other series, it’s likely to be an insightful exploration of culture, career, and personal relationships.
