Hulu’s Light as a Feather: Season 2, part 2 trailer!

Season 2 of Hulu’s Light as a Feather isn’t over yet, and the network has a trailer for the 2nd half. Feel free to check it out!

Premiering on October 4th, the second part of Light as a Feather season 2 promises some new twists. That’s at least if the trailer is at all accurate. Light as a Feather is about young adults who play a game of Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, but learn the game carries a strange death curse (also called the “chrysalis curse”). Both seasons of the series have been successful, with the story evolving to show more about how the curse works, and how it takes over lives. Check out the trailer:

As you can see, the characters seem to have some breathing room, believing the curse to be broken. However, it’s safe to assume that there’s more to it. After all, why would the season require 16 episodes if the supernatural drama elements were suddenly over?

The story (hypothetically) allows for an ever-changing cast, but so far it has starred Liana Liberato, Haley Ramm, Ajiona Alexus, Brianne Tju, Peyton List, Jordan Rodrigues, Dylan Sprayberry, Brent Rivera, Dorian Brown Pham, Robyn Lively, Katelyn Nacon, Kira Kosarin, Froy Gutierrez, Adriyan Rae, and Alex Wassabi, among others.  Though the series has some adult themes throughout, it is generally on the mild side aside from some obvious horror elements and scares.

Light as a Feather only has a 44% rating at Rotten Tomatoes, while the fan rating is at 68%. This highlights a typical split between the critic’s reaction and that of average viewers (also, IMDb gives it a kinder rating of 6.5/10). That season 2 has 16 episodes (6 more than the first) alone hints at its success. It’s also noteworthy that it received some Emmy nominations for 2019.

Liana Liberato was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series, for playing McKenna Brady. Brianne Tju was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Digital Daytime Drama Series, for playing Alex Portnoy. Also, Alexis Ostrander was nominated for Outstanding Directing in a Digital Drama Series.
