Carnival Row adds Jay Ali to the cast for season 2!
Amazon’s hit fantasy series, Carnival Row has found a new cast member for season 2. Daredevil‘s Jay Ali has been cast, according to Deadline. He’s set to be a series regular for the upcoming season.
Ali is set to play the character, Kaine, who is a Faerie. Kaine, alongside the main character Vignette (played by Delevingne), considers himself an ally with the gang, the Black Raven.
New showrunner, Erik Oleson, was also part of the Daredevil team with Ali. Oleson joined Carnival Row last month after Marc Guggenheim exited as the original showrunner. Oleson is also set to be an executive producer for season 2.
Carnival Row stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne as well as Simon McBurney, Tamzin Merchant, David Gyasi, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Arty Froushan, Indira Varma, and Jared Harris. It debuted back in August. Amazon renewed the series for another season before it debuted. While the reviews have been a bit mixed, there’s no denying all of the potential storylines the show can explore.
