Loki: Owen Wilson joins the cast of Marvel’s Disney+ series
Loki expands its cast with Owen Wilson!
The God of Mischief will have someone new to hang out with, but will he be friend or foe? Deadline reports that Owen Wilson has officially boarded the upcoming Marvel series, Loki, in an unidentified role.
Marvel is keeping Wilson’s role under wraps, however, Deadline has confirmed it is supposed to be a major part. Currently, Loki is filming with Tom Hiddleston reprising his part as the beloved Thor villain.
Like the other Marvel properties, Kevin Feige is set to executive produce the series alongside Michael Waldron (who is also the writer) and Kate Herron. Feige has confirmed Loki will directly tie into the Doctor Strange sequel, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
Owen Wilson has a long career in starring film positions. He’s had major roles in the Zoolander and Night at the Museum franchise as well as other movies like The Internship and Wonder. He can soon be seen on the big screen again in The French Dispatch, Bliss, and Marry Me. Wilson has also been in multiple beloved Wes Anderson films like The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel. He’s also been known as an accomplished screenwriter for Bottle Rocket and Rushmore.
Right now, the series is expected to have a release sometime in the Spring of 2021. Despite the lack of information, it is already one of the most anticipated Disney+ shows.
