Legends of Tomorrow actor Olivia Swann will be back next season.

One could argue that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is more about redemption than time-travelling hijinks—and that’s certainly true for Olivia Swann’s Astra Logue, who is set to return as a series regular, TVLine reports.

Swann’s Astra had sporadic appearances as a villain during Season 4 of the show but had a more regular appearance in the latest season.

Now, it looks like she’s going to be joining the Legends on their various adventures—and she will certainly bring an interesting dimension to the team.

In the final episodes of Legends of Tomorrow Season 5, Astra aided the team in their search for finding the Loom of Fate—to bring back her mother. As a result, she got pulled into the always-surprising events that characterize the Legends’ lives.

Actor Swann seems to be as excited as fans at the prospect of returning for the role, sharing the news via her Twitter feed.

Swann is the most recent Legends of Tomorrow actor to get a promotion—it was earlier announced that Shayan Sobhian’s Behrad had also been bumped up to series regular for Season 6. More details about the next season are likely to be unveiled at DC Fandome

Legends of Tomorrow: Who is Astra?

Astra Logue first appeared in 2014’s Constantine—played by Bailey Tippen—as a young child sacrificed by John Constantine (Matt Ryan) to hell. Constantine spent most of his cancelled first season atoning for it and when the character was moved into the Arrowverse, the theme continued.

Once Constantine became a series regular on Legends of Tomorrow, Swann’s Astra—a now-adult version—was introduced as an antagonist.

Astra on Legends of Tomorrow was no longer the terrified child Constantine knew—she had grown up in hell and adjusted accordingly.

The past couple of seasons have seen Constantine and the Legends try to avoid hell at all costs because of Astra’s power—but she always finds a way to draw them back in.

However, it was the draw of bringing her mother back that prompted Astra to leave hell and join the Waverider. Though a nuisance at first—and extremely dangerous to friend and foe—Astra soon started warming up to the Legends’ ways and ceased her violent ways.

Once the Loom of Fate was retrieved, Astra decided to continue living on Earth, and to explore what it felt like to be a normal human being.

Clearly, that decision doesn’t last long since she will be changing her mind to rejoin the team—something about the Legends always getting into trouble must seem appealing to her.
