The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has resumed filming

After production was shut down due to the pandemic, new images show the stars of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier have returned on set.
For the first time in over a decade, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were denied new original content over the summer. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was supposed to be the first Marvel spin-off to air on Disney Plus, but production in Europe was abruptly halted due to the global pandemic.
The latest images shared by stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reveal the actors are back in action as Sam Wilson/ Falcon and Bucky Barnes/ Winter Soldier, respectively. And they’re socially distanced, as well. Steve Rogers would be proud!

The new pictures also tease Mackie’s new look as Captain America. Sam Wilson will be taking on the mantle from his friend Steve Rogers, who retired the moniker and the shield during the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame.
Mackie’s uniform looks to have an almost classic, military-style to it; the glimpse that was shared doesn’t reflect the comic book design. But we don’t know if this will be the character’s final costume.
Alongside Mackie and Stan, Daniel Brühl and Emily VanCamp will be reprising their roles from the Marvel films as Baron Helmut Zemo and Sharon Carter/Agent 13. Carl Lumbly will also be joining the show in an as-yet-unknown role, Wyatt Russell will be playing John Walker/US Agent.
Mackie won’t be the only one getting a makeover. Brühl is set to step into a new wardrobe that echoes the evil look of his comic book counterpart.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, with Sam Wilson exploring the burden of being Captain America. Wilson and Barnes’s banter has been a favorite among viewers, and fans have been craving to see more of the same ever since this show was announced.
But the wait is on. This MCU series is conspicuously missing from the roster of Disney Plus properties showcased in the fall preview
