Starfire finally has a supersuit! Get a first look at the new costume and what it could mean for the character in Titans Season 3.

Starfire is more than ready to save the galaxy alongside her fellow Titans! And she’s got a new supersuit to fight in the upcoming Titans Season 3 at HBO Max, TVLine reports. Anna Diop, who plays Kory Anders/Koriand’r, a princess from Tamaran now living on Earth, had been teasing the suit all week on her Instagram, and now we finally have our first look at the complete costume.

The news comes a few weeks after Red Hood’s costume was revealed, confirming that production for Titans Season 3 is well underway and fans can expect to see the show in 2021. The official HBO Max Twitter account shared an official photo of Starfire’s suit, designed by Laura Jean Shannon, alongside the concept art created by Gina DeDomenico.

Diop shared the post on her Twitter account alongside three hearts, exactly how many fans felt upon seeing the new suit. DC Comics readers will be relieved to see how textured and complete the suit looks while still paying homage to her suits’ purple hues in the comics. Plus, Starfire has had some of the most impractical and sexist suits in comics, making the new changes a considerable improvement.

Titans Season 3: What Does the New Suit Mean for Starfire?

Executive producer Greg Walker explained the direction of Starfire’s arc: “The arrival of her sister/nemesis Blackfire (new series regular Damaris Lewis) launches Kory down a path where she uncovers both secrets about her past and clues to her destiny… all of which will lead to her true calling as Starfire.”

Starfire has had an interesting arc on Titans thus far. In Season 1, she had no memory of her life until she found her Tamaranean spaceship. In the follow-up, she joined forces with Donna Troy/Wonder Girl (Conor Leslie) to apprehend dangerous meta-humans.

By the end of the second season, Starfire’s sister, Blackfire (Damaris Lewis), arrived on Earth, posing a threat to the planet and the Titans. With Lewis joining as a series regular for Titans Season 3, we can assume that Starfire will have a major fight on her hands. The new suit could also be a sign that the Titans will be going into space.

Though we know little so far, it is clear that Starfire will have quite the journey ahead of her.
