The one convention to top them all year after year is San Diego Comic-Con (July 21-24)! At every San Diego Comic-Con, there is a plethora of booths, celebrities, merchandise, artists, fandoms, and of course, the highly anticipated trailers for The Walking Dead.

Unfortunately for fans (like myself) of the walker (zombie) apocalyptic show based on the comic book series created by Robert Kirkman, season 11 is going to be the last season of the hit AMC series. Yes, there will be plenty of Walking Dead content in the form of spin-offs but the core of The Walking Dead Universe, the very heart and soul of what made this show a literal game-changer will be ending with season 11 Part 3.

This means fans are hoping for some promising content and answered questions at this year’s convention. We thought of a couple questions we’d like answered during the convention and listed them below!

Keep in mind there will be spoilers if you have not caught up with the series.

5. Rick Grimes movies

Let’s begin with perhaps the biggest question weighing on everyone’s mind…the Rick Grimes films. At this point many wonder if the Rick Grimes films will ever see the light of day.

Ever since Andrew Lincoln, the amazing actor behind Grimes since the series’ began, left the show in season 9, fans were looking forward to what these supposed films will be about. Fans were excited that this would not be the last time we’d see the main character.

There have been many theories but as time went on and any word on the matter fell silent, fans wondered if they’ll ever see Grimes again. When Michonne, played by Danai Gurira, left the series as well in search of her love, we thought maybe there would be something alluding to his whereabouts.

But again, fans were disappointed. We’re hoping that there is a solid update about the Rick Grimes films that will be mentioned during San Diego Comic-Con.

4. Isle of the Dead updates

Fans were very divided on the news that both Negan and Maggie will survive until the end of The Walking Dead and work together in their own spinoff. Considering Negan killed Glenn (in front of Maggie no less), the two of them were bound to not get along.

Isle of the Dead, which will supposedly begin filming this summer, brings the two characters to New York. Why are they going to New York?

Will Negan’s wife Annie and Maggie’s son Hershel stay behind? Negan and Maggie had spent season 11 in this constant cycle of distrust until finally they were able to come to civil terms.

This positive development in their dynamic will most likely affect how their spin-off plays out. With one more part to go before The Walking Dead concludes we’re looking forward to seeing the two of them continue to work together but once again, we’d like an actual update on filming, the plot, a teaser, something.

3. What’s going on with the Daryl Dixon spinoff?

The Walking Dead

What was once supposed to be a Daryl and Carol spinoff will now focus solely only on the crossbow wielding warrior. The currently unnamed Daryl Dixon spin-off that will supposedly be filming in Europe has remained perhaps as secretive as the Rick Grimes films.

We don’t know the plot, what other characters we’ll see or be introduced to, or why Daryl will be making the trek to another continent. Fans were split on the change, wondering what will now become of Carol and why Daryl would choose to leave his family (especially Judith and RJ) behind.

We will be anxiously awaiting actual news about the spin-off (a title would be a nice gesture). We hope Norman Reedus who has played Daryl since season 1 will provide some sort of clue or insight during the convention.

2.  The Walking Dead Universe

The Walking Dead Universe has expanded greatly since the series began in 2010. We now have the likes of Fear The Walking Dead, World Beyond, and the upcoming Tales of The Walking Dead, Isle of the Dead and the unnamed Daryl Dixon spin-off.

But will we see more spin-offs or possibly films in the future? How far will The Walking Dead Universe expand?

Will those who survive their respective series emerge in future spinoffs? How and when will The Walking Dead Universe conclude?

How far does the lore of this world go? Perhaps some of these questions will get answered.

1. The Walking Dead Season 11 Part 3 Trailer

As The Walking Dead draws to a close during Part 3, fans desperately hope to see the trailer get released during San Diego Comic-Con. This will be the last time a Walking Dead (not including spin-offs) trailer will be released at the convention, and it should be done so with grandeur!

But what will fans see in the final trailer? For one, the implications of both Lance Hornsby’s underhanded work that we’re sure Governor Milton knows nothing about.

We’d love to see where Maggie, Negan and their group will be residing since Hornsby has taken control of Alexandria, what’s left of The Hilltop and Oceanside. Will we see the supposed new breed of walkers that were shown during the series finale of The Walking Dead: World Beyond?

Will we see or hear something about Michonne or Rick? How does this series finale affect what’s to come in Isle of the Dead and the Daryl Dixon spinoff?

Above all, how will the series wrap up, without revealing too much, in one last trailer?
