A Million Little Things will close its curtains after season 5.

So many great shows are closing their doors this year. The Walking Dead, This Is Us, Better Call Saul, and now A Million Little Things will be added to that list.

No, it did not have the longevity of a show like The Walking Dead but it brought such joy to the screen. Especially for those who looked for warmth and a family connection.

A Million Little Things brought us the togetherness of Friends and the hard trials of This Is Us. It gave us the tribulations that real people have been through and showed how they were able to get through it.

The show taught us the value of having friends by your side who would move heaven and earth to make sure you are okay. Or will be.

Why is A Million Little Things coming to a close?

TVLine had gotten the exclusive that creator of the show, DJ Nash, was working on the series’ final episodes.

This season would be its last. ABC has not yet commented on why the decision was made.

However, TV Line was informed that Nash is creating a very satisfying ending for fans. The fans of the ABC show had really been looking forward on what was to come.

With the renewal of the show last year, it comes as a bit of a shock to end so quickly. Even though it was one of the shows on the bubble.

ABC and Nash wanted to see it go out with a better ending than season 4. Throughout its tenure, A Million Little Things has given us nearly as many cries; both happy and sad.

What made the show truly great is the hope that it gave viewers, reminding that no matter how down and out you are there are people who will pull you back in. One of the greatest aspects of the show was loyalty.

I personally wish I had those kinds of friends in my life. What it truly showed the audience was family doesn’t have to mean blood.

Many of the characters shared ups and downs with their genetic family. We watch them all grow to repair those bonds.

But what is unshakable is the bond the friends have with each other. It’s something that many people can relate to.

Last season A Million Little Things brought in a little over 4 million viewers. The show led in the best DVR jolt but failed as one of ABC’s best dramas.

It finished in 6th with the audience and 5th in demographics. Regardless, the series will be back, and we will get to see how it all unfolds.

We have already gotten to see Gary and Maggie finally get back together and on the cusp of starting their own family. Will we get to the same happy endings for Delilah, Regina, Rome, and Katherine too?

ABC has not announced an official return date, but it doesn’t look to be this Fall. Expect the series to return around the Winter of 2023.

Tune in to see just how much satisfaction this heartwarming show will acquire at its end.
