The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer, Release Date, Synopsis and more!
After more than two years, The Mandalorian season 3 is fingertips away. Some brief appearances in The Book of Boba Fett were able to hold over fans of Din Djarin and Grogu.
But now the time has come to get our first look at the premier Star Wars show on Disney+. With the release date just a few short weeks away, the official trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian was filled with references and teasers that fit only a modern Star Wars trailer.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Synopsis
Courtesy of Disney, we know the upcoming season will be as follows:
"The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together."
Those enemies and allies were then seen and teased when the trailer premiered.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer
While there is a lot shown in this short clip, some major things stand out. First off, the group of adult Jedi with their lightsabers stands out as being very interesting.
This could be a flashback to the times of the High Republic and before the Jedi Order was destroyed, as this series has proven anything is possible. Glimpses of familiar faces like Greef Karga, Peli Motto, The Armorer, and Carson Teva raise the interest even more.
While the sights of Bo-Katan Kryze and her hordes of Mandalorians raise the intensity. Not to mention the ever-growing-in-importance antagonist of Dr. Pershing, looking a little too comfortable while Moff Gideon is nowhere to be seen.
And finally, Grogu is seen using his force abilities on some sort of creature while Mando (proudly?) says “This is the way”. Although it has been two years, it looks like The Mandalorian has not missed a step.
Other than knowing Din Djarin is taking Grogu to Mandalore, there is not a lot else known about what this batch of episodes will entail. This trailer filled in some of the blanks, but it also left audiences with more questions than answers, which is what a trailer should do.
