SNL revealed on their official Twitter account that actress Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, upcoming Scream VI) will be hosting the comedy and variety show on March 11. That same evening, English pop-rock band, The 1975 will be performing.

Jenna also shared her excitement about the announcement! While Jenna Ortega’s acting resume is very impressive, it is her most recent role as the main character Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s Wednesday that truly turned heads.

This near reimagining of The Addams Family, was able to take familiar characters and place them in a very compelling, even if unintentionally comedic, story with quite the cast including Gwendoline Christie, Christina Ricci, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman. But if there is one moment everyone knows, if those who never watched the show, was Wednesday’s dance scene from season 1 episode 4.

Seriously, you could not escape it or the song, Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps. Even though season 1 wrapped up fairly well, fans were most pleased to learn that Wednesday would be returning for a second season.

What could happen next for Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams in Wednesday?

What will happen next for Wednesday and Nevermore Academy? Will Tyler return and possibly make amends for his actions?

Is Principal Weems truly gone? Maybe Jenna will reenact the iconic dance during her episode of SNL.

Recently, Pedro Pascal of Disney Plus’ The Mandalorian and HBO’s The Last of Us, hosted and released into the world, probably the best Mario Kart spoof ever made! We look forward to seeing what comedic skits Jenna will partake in!

!!!! See you then
