Wednesday receives 3 Critics Choice Super Awards nominations

The hit Netflix series Wednesday took the world by storm! There was no escaping Wednesday’s odd and very fitting dance to Goo Goo Muck by The Cramps.

Season 1 was such a success that the show has been renewed for a second season. Season 1’s main plot of a hideous monster attacking and killing citizens of Nevermore Academy’s neighboring town Jericho, was seemingly wrapped up in a neat gothic bow.

But naturally, things are sure to go awry once Wednesday returns for another school year. But at least she’ll have made actual friends while also staying true to herself.

How many Critics Choice Super Awards nominations did Wednesday receive?

Outside of the plot, the cast was chosen to near perfection with Jenna Ortega playing the main character Wednesday Addams, the eldest child of Morticia (Catherina Zeta-Jones) and Gomez (Luis Guzman). It should be no surprise then to discover that Wednesday has received three Critics Choice Super Awards nominations:

• Best Horror Series, Limited Series or Made-For-TV Movie
• Best Actress in a Horror Series, Limited Series or Made-For-TV Movie – Jenna Ortega
• Best Actress in a Horror Series, Limited Series or Made-For-TV Movie – Christina Ricci

Both Ortega and Christina Ricci, who had played Wednesday Addams in the 90s Addams Family films, did fantastic work! It will be interesting to see that if they beat their competition, who, between the two of them, will win the award.
