Fans could face a disappointing update about MCU Phase 5 shows
There’s a disappointing rumor for fans of the MCU, as it appears that they might have to wait longer than originally planned. Since the end of the Infinity Saga, the MCU television shows have become an integral part of the multiverse sage on Disney+.
Loki, WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and others, have all done a fantastic job of picking up where the films left off, even building for what is to come. With several blockbuster films planned for this year, there are also several Disney+ MCU shows also supposed to premiere.
Specifically, Loki season 2 and Secret Invasion. However, as was noted by Reddit user u/KostisPat257, all the shows have gone through a major update.
Before, they had release windows set on the Disney+ section of the site. Now, they have been changed to “Coming Soon”, not giving fans an idea for how long they will have to wait.
The shows were previously set for general release dates as well like winter 2023, but those have now been changed.
What is happening with MCU shows?
It should be noted that though the MCU shows release windows have been changed, that does not mean that they have to be delayed, (this is simply a rumor) although that is being assumed. It’s likely that they are going through some changes, with both Disney and Marvel looking to build a schedule that will work better for them, than what was originally planned.
Several of the shows have finished filming and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania leads directly to Loki’s second season. Secret Invasion’s marketing has also started now.
That being said, according to The Direct “Marvel Studios reportedly wishes to focus on quality over quantity, which should come as a welcome relief for many fans.” With that being the case, there might not be a reason for concern, although fans still might have to wait longer than originally planned.
