Citadel Season 1, Episode 4 Recap

Mason and Nadia go to a dangerous prison called, Manticore in Morocco, to save their fellow spy, Carter. But things don’t go as planned when Carter realizes who his rescuers are and isn’t happy about it.

The episode then takes us back in time to when Mason and Nadia worked together for Citadel. We learn that Mason’s wife, Abby, had a romantic history with Roland Møller’s character, who is part of Manticore.

It turns out Abby was actually a spy for Citadel, pretending to be in love with Møller’s character to get information. But Mason starts to suspect Abby of betraying Citadel, when he sees no progress in her mission.

He suggests erasing her memories to protect Citadel’s secrets. However, the biggest surprise is when we discover that Mason used Abby as a distraction to keep Nadia safe.

It seems Nadia was involved in secret activities related to an important key, possibly working against Citadel. Carter confronts Mason about this revelation, accusing him of using Abby to protect Nadia, even if it meant working against Manticore.

Mason’s true intentions remain unclear, leaving viewers unsure about his motives. Back in the present, the story returns to the Manticore prison in Morocco.
