In a twist perhaps no one could predict or see coming, Apple TV+ Foundation has been renewed for season 3! Foundation, based on a series of books by Isaac Asimov, has successfully managed to dodge the barrage of endless TV show cancelations that bombarded the media world all year (Shadow and Bone, Joe Pickett, Heels, The Winchesters, and Vampire Academy to name a few).
We’re thrilled to hear that the story will be continuing with a large amount of curiosity as a very massive plot twist was revealed regarding Cleon, Emperor of the Galaxy. Foundation, starring Jared Harris, Lee Pace, and Lou Llobell brings together science and mathematics, and how it will affect the reign of the endless string of clones of Cleon, Emperor of the Galaxy.
Foundation fans can rejoice, season 3 is on the way!
According to ScreenRant, the possibility of the following characters returning next season include, Harris, Pace, Llobell, Cassian Bilton (Brother Dawn), Terrence Mann (Brother Dusk) Ella-Rae Smith (Queen Sareth of Cloud Dominion) and Laura Birn (Eto Demerzel). Although nothing has been confirmed as of yet, we know from previous seasons, as quickly as the clones die, they are replaced but will each replacement contain less and less DNA from the original Cleon?
Although Foundation has an overall Average Tomatometer Score of 86% and an Average Audience Score of 71%, season 2 managed to have a perfect 100% Tomatometer Score, topping season 1’s score. Now we’re setting our expectations pretty high for season 3.
How do you feel about Foundation’s renewal? Do you think there will be another time jump?
Will the next Brother Day be a far better and more sympathetic ruler than the one prior? Will anyone be able to stop Demerzel?
While we ponder those burning questions, we’ll be rewatching seasons 1 and 2 of Foundation on Apple TV+.
