With November right around the corner, it’s that time of year to turn the page on Halloween and look ahead to what is to come, like cold weather, early Christmas carols, hot cocoa, and disappointing football games. The new month is also full of great TV shows returning for new seasons.
From demigods traveling across the world to strange thrillers with twists unlike anything else, there are five shows you definitely need to catch up on before their new seasons arrive in November.
Let's get the list started with The Hunting Wives!
The Hunting Wives
- Premieres on Nov. 26, 2026, on Netflix
The one returning show that everyone is talking about for November is The Hunting Wives on Netflix. To me, this series is a runaway hit because it was one for the books when it premiered in the summer of 2025.
For those who don't recall, The Hunting Wives follows a young woman Sophie, played by Brittany Snow, who moves to a wealthy town with her husband. There she is drawn into a clique of women who drink, gossip, and indulge in other debauched behavior, upending her world.
Based on May Cobb's novel of the same name, the Netflix adaptation starring Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman was a huge success. Season 2 premieres on Nov. 26. You can watch all eight episodes that day. And get ready for more from this great show. Ahead of the season 2 premiere, the third season is already confirmed.
Yellowjackets
- Premieres on Nov. 20, 2026, on Paramount+
This is arguably one of Showtime's best shows in years, and watching it on Paramount+ makes it 20 times better. Yellowjackets season 4 premieres on Nov. 20, so you have plenty of time to rewatch the show or catch up before the season arrives.
Yellowjackets is a thriller that follows a soccer team on their path to greatness as they travel to the championship game. But their plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness, and with no sign of civilization, they must survive, even turning to dark, terrifying instincts to make it through winter. We also simultaneously see the girls as adults 25 years later, dealing with the aftereffects.
No other TV series I’ve watched in the last few years has surprised me and made me gag as much as Yellowjackets, mainly because the twists are totally out of this world and you’ll be shocked from the very beginning. Each season gets wilder than the next. Each episode of season 4 will air weekly.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
- Premieres on Nov. 11, 2026, on Prime Video
We’re returning to the world of Arda and Middle-Earth with season 3 of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Nov. 11.
Set years before the main events of The Lord of the Rings, the series mainly follows a younger Galadriel as she tries to entice Middle-earth to align with her when an ancient evil begins to rise again, despite the former Dark Lord having been vanquished years earlier. But things are beginning to change, and now it's up to her and her armies and her power to fight against the darkness.
If you know J.R.R. Tolkien's works, you know the characters and the story that follows. The series is a fun continuation of their world, and season 3 looks like the most epic yet.
We're getting four episodes of season 3 on Nov. 11, followed by two episodes on Nov. 18, before the final two episodes of the season arrive on Nov. 25.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians
- Premieres on Nov. 20, 2026 on Disney+ and Hulu
Speaking of fantasy shows, we’re going from elves to demigods in Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which returns for its third season in three years — a blessing in today’s age of waiting two years between seasons of fantasy shows.
The series follows Percy Jackson as he learns to embrace his powers after discovering he's a demigod, the son of Poseidon. The books take him on an adventure that escalates as an ancient threat, the Titans, seeks to overthrow Olympus and the gods themselves.
If you love mythology, you’ve probably checked out Percy Jackson once or twice. The series has done a good job adapting the books so far, and with plenty of other books to adapt, I think it will run for a while. New episodes will air weekly on Disney+!
Stick
- Premieres on Nov. 4, 2026 on Apple TV
Fans will love this comedy, and there’s only one season, so it’s a quick catch-up. Stick, led by Owen Wilson, follows a washed-up professional golfer named Pryce who decides to move across the country to help a newcomer he met rise to fame.
The series was well-received and, of course, featured some hilarious bits from Owen Wilson as the lead. Apple TV always seems to have some of the best comedies that lean more into heartfeltness than anything else, so if you need a pick-me-up, this is the series for you. New episodes will air weekly.
All of these shows look like so much fun, and I, for one, can’t wait to watch them all!
