All of Kieran Culkin's Emmy Award nominations (and other awards)

Kieran Culkin has been acting since he was a child but really gained recognition for his award-winning role as Roman Roy in HBO's Succession.

Like his brothers Macaulay and Rory, Kieran Culkin began his acting career at a young age. Making his movie debut in 1990's holiday classic Home Alone as Kevin's little cousin Fuller, Culkin continued acting through his childhood, appearing in other 1990s favorites such as Father of the Bride and its sequel. As he got older, he began scooping up more and more dramatic roles, notably appearing in films like Music of the Heart and The Mighty. In 2002, Culkin starred in the dramedy Igby Goes Down directed by Burr Steers, which earned him his first Golden Globe nomination.

Over the years, Culkin has appeared in other popular titles, with one of my favorites being his performance as Wallace Wells in Edgar Wright's cult classic Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He reprised his role in voice acting form for the new anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, which was released on Netflix in late 2023. But of course, Culkin is best known for portraying the incredibly immature and very hilarious Roman Roy in Succession, a role he played for all four seasons of the HBO series.

How many times has Kieran Culkin been nominated for an Emmy?

Culkin is a staple at the award shows nowadays, so it might surprise you to learn he's only been nominated for three Emmy Awards and has not won any — yet. There's a good chance he'll take home the award this evening for his role as Roman Roy. He was absolutely fantastic in the final season of Succession and deserves the recognition. Considering the fact that he just won the Golden Globe earlier this month, there's a good chance he'll take home the Emmy, too. Fingers crossed!

Here's every Emmy Award Culkin has been nominated for:

  • 2022 Nominee: Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Succession)
  • 2023 (rescheduled to 2024) Nominee: Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Succession)
