This post contains spoilers from the first two episodes of Yaga from this point forward.
We're only two episodes into Yaga's eight-episode season, and we're already flooded with theories about what's going on in Whittock. Of course, if you have also read Kat Sandler's play of the same name, then you're also trying to figure how the showrunner has changed and shifted plot elements from the play into the much larger world of the television adaptation.
The chilling story continues with Yaga episode 3, which will be available to watch on Friday, Oct. 30 as the perfect Yagaween treat. In Canada, the episode will be released on Crave at 9 p.m. PT on Thursday, Oct. 29, which is 12 a.m. ET. In the United States, episode 3 drops on AMC+ at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Friday, Oct. 30. In the first of the two-episode premiere, Rapp (Noah Reid) and Carson's (Clark Back) investigation into the disappearance of missing billionaire heir Henry Park (Hudson Williams) begins. Strange happenings immediately take place, like a burning chicken nailed to a door and text messages mysteriously sent from the young man they're searching for.
As Rapp and Carson take closer looks at those connected to Henry, like his roommate Logan Casey (also Hudson Williams), his ex-girlfriend Pam (Ezra Franky), and professor and podcast guest Katherine Hargrove (Carrie-Anne Moss), the investigation ultimately takes a deadly turn during a house party at Henry's house when Logan's body is found near the ocean.
What to expect from Yaga season 1 episode 3
Yaga episode 3 is titled "A Good Boy," and Crave shared the official synopsis: "The missing persons investigation is now a murder; Carson (Clark Backo) and Rapp (Noah Reid) must work together to figure out who might have wanted the victim dead." The end of the second episode gave us a clear view of the victim, but we're surely in for even more details about his death.
Obviously, and here's your last spoiler warning, the investigation has taken on a new layer after Logan's death, though Henry remains missing. The plot, as they say, thickens with the discovery of Logan's body, especially after Rapp and Carson found Logan having sex in Henry's room and asking his partner to call him by Henry's name. On top of Logan's murder, that's something to unpack.
During the party, Rapp fells under the influence of a mystery drug, which had him hallucinating elaborate imagery, like Katherine standing before him in a long white dress and a flaming bird flying through the sky. There must be something to these images, clues to what's going on in this case, but we just aren't able to make sense of them this early into the season.
The first-look images from Yaga episode 3 that were released by Bell Media offer a limited scope of what's to come in the latest episode. There are four photos, including the two featured above, and they feature only Katherine, Rapp, and Carson. Katherine appears to be speaking an officer, possibly Eckert, while Rapp looks to have recovered from his drug trip and teams back up with Carson.
Ahead of the episode's release, there's no look at Williams as either Logan or Henry, though based on a teaser floating around social media, fans believe Henry will be making his first appearance in episode 3. We'll have to wait and see whether that actually happens, but until then, take a closer look at "A Good Boy" below and tune into the episode on Friday, Oct. 30.
