Report: Rachel McAdams and Kelly Riley Join True Detective
After plenty of wondering, it seems that Rachel McAdams has finally been confirmed for True Detective’s second season. There has been a lot of back and forth on this one, but it looks like it’s finally happening.
McAdams has been a front-runner for the role for some time. At this late stage in the game it would have been very surprising if HBO had gone a different way.

Kelly Riley will also be joining the cast. She’s been floating around as a possibility as well, though not as long as McAdams.
That makes two new female leads, and besides any smaller roles that come out in the next few days, all major casting is now complete. True Detective is officially well on its way to season two.
With Colin Farrell recently seen in costume you can bet that production is about to kick into high gear. The female side of True Detective is looking quite strong. Now all we need is good writing to back it up.
Are you excited for Rachel McAdams to be joining the cast? Or are you just happy that we have all four leads?
