True Detective easter egg in Far Cry 4 (Photo)

True Detective may have only aired one season so far, but it’s reach has been impressive and there are easter eggs all over the place.
It has been over a year since True Detective debuted on HBO and in just a short amount of time the show has had a far reach in the realm of creativity. Not only are there fan trailers kicking around but there are little easter eggs and showing of affection for the show as well.
We saw an example of that in the video game Far Cry 4, which features a little shout out to True Detective in the form of a reference to a famous Rusty-ism. It wasn’t the Rusty-ism that was quoted, rather it was Marty’s reaction to Rusty’s little self reflections while riding in the car.
As one Redditor found out, there is a True Detective easter egg in Far Cry 4, and it’s pretty awesome.
That’s pretty awesome, especially considering the show is in it’s infancy still and only has one season under it’s belt.
It’s been an interesting run for True Detective so far and it’s reach to fans and the fandom that exists over just one season of the show is impressive to say the least. How much of that had to do with the performance of Matthew McConaughey and how much that had to do with the writing of the show — or both — is unknown.
We will know more about the series and it’s longevity after the second season airs but for now the fandom that has been created.
