New HBO Now programming in September

A new month means new programming for HBO and HBO Now, HBO’s on-demand streaming service. September isn’t the most exciting month for HBO shows. It’s more of a stopping point between Summer and Fall shows. October marks the return of Fall shows with the premier of Season 2 of The Leftovers.

Here is what to expect on HBO in September.

New Original Programming

Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Houston Texans (Season Finale)

Ferrell Takes the Field

Ferrell Takes the Field is a new documentary that follows Will Ferrell as he joins 10 MLB teams during Spring Training. Ferrell will play all nine positions throughout his baseball journey, including designated hitter. The documentary produced by Funny or Die will raise money for the Cancer for College charity.

Doll & Em: Season 2 Premiere

Project Greenlight

Project Greenlight makes its return as Ben Affleck and Matt Damon looks for up-and-coming film directors. Affleck and Damon act as mentors to a young director, as the documentary-style program gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at filmmaking.
