What’s On HBO This Weekend? 10/10 – 10/11

The Leftovers is in full gear after last week’s season two premier. Judging by the “scenes from the next,” we’re going to find out what happened to the Garvey’s to make them want to leave Mapleton, and head south to Jarden, Texas. The second episode, called “A Matter of Geography” airs on Sunday.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver is also new for its third week in a row. Its second season is winding down. Saturday also has a major release movie on tap with Will Smith’s Focus. Here are the full listings for this weekend.

Saturday 10/10 

Focus – 8:00 p.m.

HBO Description: Slick con-artist Will Smith encounters his former protegee–and lover–while attempting the ultimate score in this electrifying caper. Margot Robbie co-stars as the fetching femme fatale who happens to turn up in Buenos Aires on the arm of the veteran grifter’s biggest mark. “Focus combines seamless, superbly-crafted filmmaking with the fizz and fun created by its leads” (TheWrap). Face Off with Max Kellerman: Glolovkin vs. Lemieux – 11:20 p.m.

Sunday 10/11

The Leftovers – 9:00 p.m.

HBO Description: Kevin, Nora, and Jill try to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of the Mapleton riots but problems from the past keep resurfacing. The new Garvey clan gets a fresh start in the safety of Miracle. Nora makes an impulsive choice, while Kevin gets entangled in the Murphy family’s problems. (TVMA)

Project Greenlight – 10:00 p.m.

HBO Description: As production begins, Jason is eager to take charge, but finds his penchant for perfectionism conflicting with the tight shooting schedule Effie is vigilant about maintaining. The crew raises communication concerns during Len’s first visit to the set. With the deadline winding down to get the signatures required to legally shoot at night, Effie and Marc present Jason with a less-than-ideal solution. (TVMA)

Doll & Em – 10:31 p.m.

HBO Description: With the premiere of their play only a day away, Emily tries out some novel ideas on Evan and Olivia, while Dolly offends the actresses with an backhanded remark. Emily accompanies Dolly to the doctor’s office, where the pair gets some unexpected news. (TVMA)
