Woody Harrelson has jumped on the chance to open a marijauana shop in Hawaii.

Woody Harrelson is known for a few things — he diverse roles, his unique presence, and his love of marijuana. It’s that last bit that brings us here today. Woody Harrelson has always has this goofy sort of air around him and that can be seen in plenty of his movies. Now it all makes sense.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hawaii will open marijuana dispensaries in July, and Woody Harrelson has put his name down to open shop. To be fair (and honest) Hawaii is only going to allow medical marijuana dispensaries. For now. Harrelson likely hopes to be one of the first on the block to offer the goods.

Woody Harrelson is one of 60, and he is in good company. The applicant list is filled with the wealthy and notable, including Henk Rogers, the man who “discovered” Tetris. That makes a certain sort of sense. No decisions have been made yet as to who is going to be given license to open, but it won’t be too long until a decision is handed down.

Harrelson hasn’t achieved the same level of fame and notoriety as Matthew McConaughey, which is something of a shame. Still, when a famous person wants to open up a medical marijuana dispensary, it gets around all the same. Maybe him and Matthew McConaughey can go into business together.
