Woody Harrelson’s The Glass Castle adds another actor to its already impressive cast.
Woody Harrelon’s career doesn’t quite get the same amount of attention as Matthew McConaughey’s. That’s a trend that goes back to True Detective’s first season, when Marty just couldn’t muster up the same enthusiasm from viewers like Rust could. Like McConaughey, Woody Harrelson has a mountain of movies coming up, though one of them will be a bit different.
We’ve talked a bit before about The Glass Castle, the upcoming film based on a memoir about a dysfunctional family. Woody Harrelson has been attached to star since at least November, and now it looks like another big name is going to join the fray. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Naomi Watts is currently in talks to star in The Glass Castle alongside Harrelson.

Besides a potential exciting matchup of Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts, what this really means is that The Glass Castle is still a ways off. It hasn’t technically gone into production yet, which makes sense since its cast wasn’t yet hammered down. Technically it still isn’t. The movie will hopefully go into actual production in June, making a winter release or early 2017 release likely.
Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts will star alongside Brie Larson, who recently turned major heads in Room. This has the potential to be something special and different for Harrelson, who doesn’t really do quiet drama. This being a dramady and all, things could turn out differently anyway.

Speaking of drama, Matthew McConaughey’s Sea of Trees recently had a new French trailer and is still without an American release date. See how easy it was to make this about Matthew McConaughey? It’s just too easy to do.
Sorry, Woody.
