Olivia Munn keeps the True Detective season three hashtag joke alive.

After the success of True Detective’s first season, a popular social media hashtag was born. Fans, and eventually celebrities, would post a picture of a duo and tag it as #TrueDetectiveseason2. The game fell slightly out of favor after season two, when many weren’t pleased with the direction the show had taken. Fortunately, it never really died, and some are helping to keep it alive.

Enter Olivia Munn. Munn is an actor that got her start on G4’s Attack of the Show as co-host. The show would frequently comment on her attractiveness by putting her in compromising situations and costumes. It got a little weird near the end. Now she has a successful film career and will star in X-Men: Apocalypse.

She recently posted this photo on her Instagram account and labeled it True Detective season three.

More from Show Snob

Why yes, that is Jason Bateman and T.J Miller. Everyone involved has the True Detective look down except for T.J Miller, who should not be smiling if he’s going to be in True Detective. Bateman even has the disinterested look-away down. Workaholics fans will likely recognize Jillian Bell in the bottom-right corner. Obviously this is all a joke, but it bring up some fun casting possibilities.

Could this rag-tag team track down a killer? Maybe season three will take a new twist and one of them will be the killer. Jason Bateman could probably pull of a quiet, creepy killer type. He’s got that look about him. More than anything this just creates the need for a True Detective and Arrested Development mashup or spoof, a market that has so far gone untapped.

Next: Watch the trailer for Doctor Strange.

Maybe this cast could bring some levity to season three, since season two was often criticized as being too dark.
