HBO will Host a Game of Thrones Scavenger Hunt at SDCC
HBO takes SDCC very seriously
There will be many treats awaiting those lucky enough to attend this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Past years have featured excellent panels from HBO, including, of course, Game of Thrones. It stands to reason that many attendees of SDCC also happen to be, if not fans of HBO in general, Game of Thrones fans. And Game of Thrones treats its fans very well at SDCC.
To sweeten the pot even more, HBO has announced that there will be a Game of Thrones style scavenger hunt at SDCC. Fans could end up with some cool exclusives, which every con pretty much has to have. To qualify, fans will have to complete a set of challenges and then post pictures of themselves.

Prizes include various figures, plushes, shirts, and Game of Thrones Clue. HBO also has a complete list of Game of Thrones related merch that will be available all over the convention. The posted challenges aren’t anything too difficult, but there will doubtlessly thousands of people taking a crack at it. Luck will play a big part here.
For those that aren’t interested in some Game of Thrones fun, SDCC will also host panels for Silicon Valley and Vice Principals. When it comes to panels, those two will likely be a bit easier to get into than the Game of Thrones panel. Though it is the largest Comic Con currently in existence (sorry, NYCC) and it takes work to get into anything.
You can see the full list of scavenger hunt challenges and all of the available merch. Game of Thrones is only a small piece of what SDCC has to offer, but HBO wants to make sure that it gets the lion’s share of attention. Considering how season six ended, they won’t have to try all that hard.
