Veep’s cast will be live on Facebook Tonight
Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Veep “Bozos” on live panel
Veep may not have been one of the shows that were showcased in panel form at San Diego Comic Con, but they do have a plan to make up for it. Sort of. Veep is one of the funniest shows that HBO has ever produced, but it has never really had a strong Comic Con presence. Nothing like Game of Thrones, of course.
For those that haven’t had their full of Veep just yet — which should be most people out there — the cast will be live streaming their panel from the Just For Laughs comedy festival tonight at 7:00 PM EST on Facebook. Julia Louis-Dreyfus tweeted out the news yesterday:
More from Show Snob
- The Santa Clauses season 2, episode 6 recap “Wanga Banga Langa!”
- Lawmen: Bass Reeves season 1, episode 7 preview: Non-spoiler thoughts for Part VII
- Goosebumps season 1, episode 6 recap: “Night of the Living Dummy”
- Beacon 23 season 1, episode 3 recap: “Why Can’t We Go on as Three?”
- Upload season 3, episode 2 recap: “Strawberry”
Julia Louis-Drefyus referring ot her coworkers as “bozos” is especially ticking. The Just For Laughs festival is a Canadian comedy festival that is apparently the largest of its kind. While the entire Veep cast won’t be there, joining Julia Louis-Dreyfus will be Tony Hale, Gary Walsh, Timothy Simmons, and new showrunner David Mandel.
For those not in the know, the original showrunner, Armando Iannucci, departed after the end of the fourth season. That didn’t end up being the major blow that many predicted it would be, as Veep went on to have one of its strongest seasons yet. For those actually attending the Just For Laughs festival, consider yourselves quite luckily. For everyone else, a livestream via Facebook is going to have to do.
Next: HBO cancels Project Greenlight.
Considering that most of the panels at San Diego Comic Con don’t get a livestream, this could be considered a sort of concession. And hey, maybe the cast will have more to say about season six than the cast of Silicon Valley had to say about their next season.
