Watch the Preview for The Night Of, “The Call of the Wild”
The preview for “The Call of the Wild,” The Night Of’s final episode
The rollercoaster ride that is The Night Of is about to come to an end. The eight and final episode will air next Sunday, though there is no promise that there will be justice for Naz or Andrea. The Night Of has never been too concerned with getting to the bottom of the case, though things have been moving along swiftly over the last few episodes.

The preview is all mood and atmosphere, giving very little away. Everyone is gearing up for the conclusion of the trial, though there is still no hint that John is going to be able to get Andrea’s step dad into a courtroom. In fact, he’s still the only one that knows about his potential involvement. You’ll also notice that the preview labels episode eight as the series finale, which is technically true, though the creators haven’t ruled out the possibility of more.
There’s no easy way to predict how The Night Of is going to end. Even if Naz is acquitted, readjusting to life on the outside is not going to be easy. In fact, he might not even want to. In prison he is powerful for his association with Freddy and he has embraced his quiet rage.

The title, “The Call of the Wild” could either be referencing a return to normal life, or “the wild” could be Rikers Island. The only thing we can safely assume is that there is no happy ending coming, regardless of whether or not Naz is found not guilty. The only character who could end up with a new lease on life is John, as he has made several positive strides since the show started.
Every else? Not so much.
