HBO Dropped one More Westworld Teaser
There’s no worry about forgetting Westworld now
It’s more than fair to say that Westworld is officially the most hyped new series coming up in the fall season. This was cemented by the fact that all early reviews thought it was masterful. HBO has been consistently dolling out Westworld goodness for the past several months, and now there is one more teaser before the series premieres in October.
The new teaser is only 30 seconds long, so don’t get your hopes up for another eye-popping trailer. Check it out:

The new ad, appropriately titled “Chaos,” features Anthony Hopkins’ character talking about how he meticulously designed his world. There are flashes of violence and android limbs, but its main goal is only to whet the appetite. HBO stealthily dropped the new teaser yesterday, the day of the Emmy awards. The move could be taken as a subtle reminder that not only is Westworld right around the corner, but it could also one day take over the Emmys.
Considering how much praise the series has gotten of far, that is a very real possibility. An eventuality, even. Past trailers have focused on Evan Rachel Wood’s character, Delores, so it’s something new to have her take a backseat to Anthony Hopkins. We previously assumed that Westworld was done showing off trailers, but after this new one we are hesitant to make the same call.
It would be better, however, if Westworld went silent at this point. Between all of the trailers and the reviews we have already seen plenty. The anticipation hangs heavy in the air, and considering there isn’t all that much time left between now and its October 2nd premiere, there is nothing wrong with that. HBO has artfully avoided overexposure on Westworld so far — it wold be a shame if they botched it just a few weeks before it airs.
