Photos for Episode 2 of Girls Focus on Marnie
Marnie and Desi are going to try to make it work
The second episode of Girls’ final season, ‘Hostage Situation,’ is going to focus on the other members of the group instead of Hannah. After leading off with a rather strong. Hannah-centric episode, Girls is going to widen its focus a bit. We know this already from the preview for the episode, but now we have new photos to back it up. Prepare for some Marnie-style drama.
Marnie and Desi are going to try to rekindle their relationship, which is something that is surely going to work out perfectly for everyone involved. Yeah. There going to do so in Poughkeepsie, and they’re making Hannah go with them.

In this shot it looks like Hannah is addressing her worries about this working out and Marnie is trying t go get her to go along with it. That might be reaching a little bit, but having the context here really helps. You can also see Desi’s head in the background, which is actually a little spooky.

This second shot takes place before the first, chronologically speaking. Hannah and Desi are picking Hannah up for the weekend – a scene that we’ve seen in various trailers by this point. They like excited, ready to try something new. While we don’t know exactly why they’re dragging Hannah long, it could mean that they need her as a crutch. Or maybe Marnie is just a little worried about being alone with Desi for a weekend, even under a romantic pretense.
Next: The final season of Girls could be the best.
‘Hostage Situation’ will also focus on Shosh and Elijah, with Jessa taking a backseat. We’re guessing that Jessa is going to get her own episode soon, so fans of her story arc with Adam shouldn’t have to wait too much longer.
