First Tease for American Horror Story Season 7

Creator Ryan Murphy has finally broken silence on American Horror Story’s highly anticipated season 7.

With a creepy elephant-clown Instagram post, Ryan Murphy gave us a look at American Horror Story season 7. First reported by Deadline, and from the look of it, we are in for one scary hell of a season.

According to Deadline, the new season was inspired by ( the already horrific) 2016 election cycle with the first episode taking place on the night of the presidential election.

American Horror Story veterans including Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are set to return for the upcoming season along with newcomers Scream Queen’s Billie Lourd and executive producer and creator of Funny Or Die’s Billy Eichner.

Other than these scant details and nightmare inducing a half-sketched image of an eyeless, lipstick wearing elephant we are guessing is supposed to represent the Republican Party, we are still in the dark regarding the plot, setting or characters of the upcoming season.

One thing we do know though from Entertainment Weekly is that the season’s premise came from a very unusual circumstance. According to executive producer Tim Minear during this year’s PaleyFest:

"At the beginning of every season, in order to secure the tax benefit, you have to give a synopsis of what you’re doing. That was not okay with Ryan, but we had to give them something, so we made up this completely batsh*t thing for those two paragraphs and the funny thing is, we’re doing it this year."

Minear also revealed at PaleyFest that none of the actors will be portraying Hillary Clinton or President Donald Trump. So at least we know that the new season won’t be that scary.
