AMC debuts new sardonic artwork for Preacher season 2

Season 2 of Preacher debuts June 25th on AMC, and the network recently released some fun artwork to get us all hyped. It worked.

Preacher, AMC’s off-kilter horror thriller debuted last summer to rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The Sam Catlin produced drama’s ten episode first season saw our heroes Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun)  and Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) hit the road in search of God. Literally, though, God is missing. That’s quite the first season. Season 2 promises to see the debut of the comic’s popular villain. The Saint of Killers. Can’t. Wait.

Before the second season hits the air, Deadline brings has us a sneak peek at our favorite band of bizarre champions courtesy of AMC. First up, we have Custer himself, looking pretty slick, and dare we say, a little perturbed?

Next up, we have Custer’s best friend Cassidy. Cassidy is, of course, a hundred-plus-year-old Irish vampire. Isn’t everyone’s best friend? Cassidy looks as if he’s something he can’t quite believe. In the world of Preacher, that’s gotta be something truly strange.

Last but not least, we have Custer’s ex-girlfriend, but full-time bad ass gun-slinging sidekick; Tulip O’Hare. Her expression is certainly the calmest of the three, perhaps though that doesn’t mean Tulip isn’t about to unleash buckets of bullets on some poor sap.

The tagline on the poster is also a bit interesting; “From the co-executive producer of Breaking Bad and the guys who brought you Sausage Party and This Is The End.” Catlin is the producer who worked on Breaking Bad, while the “guys” are Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen. Still, the tagline reads a bit like “From the guys who brought those movies and shows you like.” Or is that just us?
