Justin Rolland got drunk to voice an especially intoxicated Rick in an upcoming episode of the third season of ‘Rick and Morty.’

Rick Sanchez is very rarely sober. Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon even describes Rick as “a very high-functioning alcoholic.” In episode 304 of Rick and Morty however, Rick is going to go on what will be an epic bender even for him.

This time Rick’s drinking will be so epic that Dan Harmon even encouraged Justin Rolland to drink while recording Rick’s lines. It went about as well as you’d expect.

How many shots is the right amount of shots for drunk Rick? Justin investigates.

More from Show Snob

There are a lot of shows out there that even though you love them you have to worry if they can keep the magic going… Rick and Morty is not one of those shows. It’s clear that the third season of Rick and Morty is going to be everything we hoped it would be.

That’s really saying something too because Rick and Morty has already created some of the funniest and most thought-provoking animated television ever. It’s hard to compare a show like this to The Simpsons or South Park when they hit their peaks, but when thousands of people sign online petitions to bring back a discontinued McDonald’s sauce because of your surprise April Fool’s Day episode it’s safe to say that your show is a cultural phenomenon. We can’t wait for more of season three.
