American Gods debuted on Starz just two short weeks ago but has already been renewed for a second season.

It appears that we can all settle in for the further adventures of Mr. Wednesday and Shadow Moon, as just two episodes into the show’s first season, Starz has renewed the series for a second season per Deadline. Well, that didn’t take very long.

American Gods follows the adventures of the mysterious Mr. Wednesday, who accompanied by his “man” Shadow Moon, attempts to build a coalition of Old Gods to fight the New Gods of America. The first season of American Gods consists of eight episodes, with the second season expected to be at least that long as well.

Adapted from the award-winning novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman, American Gods has been a huge success for Starz, as the first episode reportedly pulled in 975k viewers in its debut slot at 9 pm.

When early viewers (the episode was available through the Starz App and On Demand), as well as delayed viewers, are lumped together, “The Bone Orchard” pulled in 5 million viewers. That’s enough to make any executive happy, which is exactly how Starz programming president Carmi Zlotnik sounds,

"Bryan Fuller, Michael Green and Neil Gaiman have evolved the art form of television narratively, structurally and graphically with American Gods, and we’re thrilled to be working again with these artists as they continue to build the worlds and wars of the gods…"

Fuller and Green are the executive producers of the show, with Gaiman, the aforementioned author of the novel on which the series is based, also sharing executive producing power. The series stars Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday and  Ricky Whittle as Shadow Moon.

American Gods airs each Sunday, at 9 pm EST on Starz.
